SOCAR Head Office is looking for a Senior economist for Corporate Governance Center.
Main job responsibilities:
- Centralization, initial analyses and coordination of information on behalf of SOCAR Group for sharing with stakeholders, including governing bodies of SOCAR (Azerbaijan Investment Holding and Supervisory Board);
- Information (data) collection (covering different aspects of activities of SOCAR), formation of databases and central registry;
- Respond appropriately to inquiries and requests of investors and other stakeholders regarding corporate governance rules;
- Organization of a unified information disclosure policy within the SOCAR Group, control over the application of a unified approach to information disclosure;
- Analyze management reports submitted on the activities of the SOCAR and if necessary, receive additional explanations and information;
- Taking part in the process of evaluation of corporate governance maturity level of Group companies;
- Managing the approval process of related party transactions, as well as transactions of special importance;
- Taking part in the process of developing corporate governance standards (mechanisms) within the SOCAR Group;

Job requirements:
- Higher education (Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration);
- Degree in abroad is a privilege;
- At least 3 years of related experience, preferably in finance;
- Strong written and verbal communication and negotiation skills;
- Time management and organizational skills;
- Ability to develop new approaches to resolve complex issues;
- Strong work ethics, problem solving;
- Fluency in Azerbaijani and English;
